What is it?

  • The online library website allows members of the community to advertise thier services and request help. The library can take commission for providing this service.

How does it work?

  • Web pages are created by library staff for people with appropriate skills to enter information into.

  • MARC 21 tags are then generated to hold all details advertisers enter including images

  • Users can then search for services through the library wesbite.

  • The advertisers will respond to enquiries and can communicate with the person requesting help via the library messaging system.

Example Income Profile:

1000 requests per month (30 days) at £5 per request with a comission rate of 10%

1000 (requests) x £5 (per request) = £5,000

10% of £5,000 = £500 per month
